As part of the ongoing BlueBio4Future initiative and in collaboration with the BYT | Blue Young Talent Program, this year’s Scientific Writing Workshop brought together CIIMAR’s early-career researchers for a hands-on session led by ERA Chair Holder Pedro Leão, with guest speaker Mariana Girão contributing insights on scientific design.

The workshop covered key elements of scientific communication—including publication planning, authorship ethics, journal selection, writing structure, and data presentation—providing participants with practical tools to support their academic writing, from internship reports to scientific papers, and reinforcing BlueBio4Future’s commitment to fostering a strong, forward-thinking research environment at CIIMAR.
